School of Non-Ferrous Metals and Material Science is a unique educational institution in the area of fundamental and metallurgical education.

The history of the School began in 1958 with transferring of Moscow School of Non-Ferrous Metals to Krasnoyarsk city and naming It after profound Soviet politician M.I. Kalinin. In 1959 the School began its first students’ admission. Later in 2006 the School joined Siberian Federal University and became a School of Non-Ferrous Metals and Material Science (SNFMMS).
